Diara is a social networking and communications application offering people a collaborative and accessible platform to search for people and connect with them to foster meaningful bonds. Galaxy collaborated with Diara to design a user-friendly application.
Problem
The application faced usability challenges and lacked a cohesive design language. Despite having initial user flows, the absence of structured wireframes and cohesive design elements led to confusion and inefficiencies in user interaction. The project required a comprehensive approach to streamline user flows, establish a cohesive design language, and enhance overall usability for the mobile application.
Solution
In response to the identified challenges, our team executed a structured approach to enhance the UX design of the Diara’s mobile application:
- Started by documenting existing user flows provided by the client.
- Created wireframes based on the user flows.
- Collaborated with the Diara team to discuss and iterate on proposed design solutions, incorporating feedback and insights.
- Developed a style guide to establish consistent visual elements, typography, and color schemes across the application.
- Curated a moodboard to capture the desired look and feel of the application.
- Translated wireframes and design concepts into final designs, focusing on intuitive navigation and seamless user interactions.
Through this iterative and collaborative process, we successfully transformed the app into a cohesive, visually appealing, and user-friendly platform that facilitates chatting and networking with ease.
