CROSSBOW LABS wanted Galaxy to redesign its Data Discovery Tool to improve its overall usability. As the PCI DSS compliance prohibits the storage of sensitive card data in a plain text format anywhere in the network. This tool enables users to trace the exact storage location of their card data on the network and helps them with masking or securingthat data.

Problem

Though this tool helps businesses adhere to the data compliance standards and keeps the data secure, it lacked an intuitive navigation structure and overall user interface appeal. It showed categoric inconsistencies with the established design patterns.

Solution

Restructuring the navigation and helping users easily run scans - a feature they would use on a daily basis. We also yearned for better discoverability of other vital features within the app.
